I was fooling around on Baseball Reference last night, and I noticed Freddy Garcia's Game Score from his previous start (eight innings, six strikeouts, three hits) was 82. On a lark, I went back through his game log looking for his last start with a score that high. He had back-to-back eight-inning, one-hit starts with the White Sox in September. Of 2006.
It's been a while since he pitched that well, is all I'm saying. I have a feeling that between him and a soft-tosser in Keuchel there will be a lot of balls put in play tonight.
