A bit of a grinding affair, not a wealth of chances for either team. Lots of takeaways of possession on both sides, but United have done particularly well in shutting Ajax down at the right times. Traore is making his presence known for Ajax. Pogba's goal showed what can be done by being forward and maintaining pressure. Lots of maintenance so far for United.

A great break forward from United ends in the area as Pogba goes down. No call, so United have to recover on the counter.

Mata with a late challenge, then a bit of a dust-up on the sidelines involving Herrera and some Ajax players. Herrera got pushed down, but no punishment there. Mata gets the yellow. Rooney calming things in that incident.
