The key to Zimmerman's turn around this year is health, obviously, but more that he is pitching to contact, and getting weak contact. His LD% is down to 21%, his GB% has gone up 8% to 51%... his IF FB% is up 7% to 16.4%. People just aren't squaring the ball up at all.

 

His BABIP is .235, but his FIP is 2.79 (to his ERA of 1.71). So he'll regress some, but not a lot.

 

He would have been a great target in the past. It seemed the Nationals weren't very high on him last year, IIRC.
