Hernandez vs. Jurrjens

 

The mission today is to end the losing streak. All hands on deck. End the losing streak, and focus on tomorrow tomorrow.

 

This is the 2nd time the O's will have seen Hernandez this year. He's done a good job of keeping the Rays in games. Too many hr's allowed (7), but 40 hits, and 41 k's in 42.2 ip is pretty solid. He's gone exactly 6 innings in each of his last 4 starts. In 3 of those 4 starts he has allowed 2 er or less. He's overwhelming RH hitters, with Lefties having success.

 

If Jurrjens can get through the first couple of innings unscathed, and finish with something like 6ip, 4 er or less... I'll be very pleased.

I think we'll need at least 6 runs to have a chance tonight. I have next to zero faith in Jurrjens.

 

I'm glad that this is a Fox National game that I'll actually be able to watch in Montgomery County.

Interesting, and good to see Dickerson and Navarro back in the lineup again today.

Dickerson has to be getting ABs vs RHP right now. Twofold, he's hitting well and he can play all of the OF positions as well or better than our regulars out there while giving the reg a rest. Though he is DHing today.

Yeah I'd kinda rather see him rotate in and give guys days off in the OF and swap out Navarro for Ishikawa or Canzler to DH. Would fit the MO for Travis extending his opt-out date.
