They remind me of the O's in that I see a decent positional core, aided by a non-great rotation, but a rotation capable of keeping them in most games... and a talented bullpen.

I do like our overall talent better though.

Davis down on strikes. 2 out.

See, to me, their positional core is akin to our perceived pitching core looking at it a couple years ago (BMat, Britton, Tillman) vs. (Hosmer, Moustakas, Escobar). They still have a decent positional core though with guys like Gordon and Butler. I guess it's in how you look at it.

He probably would have hit a HR if he was batting RH.  ;-)

Santana was 4-5 with a 5.42 ERA in 12 career starts vs. the O's coming into tonight. I can recall a few games in particular where we knocked him out before the 3rd inning.

Yeah.. guess so. I still have optimism for both (our pitchers, their bats).

Great 1st inning. Forced Santana to throw 33 pitches, and put 3 runs up in the process.

Talking to my friend on GChat, he won't sign up for the board 'cause he's friggin' hard headed, anyway:

Love watching Manny play... it's like watching Bryce Harper without the pretension and playing a more difficult position.

Thought that was a pretty good line, lol. Although, it appears Harper has made a genuine effort (sans his ejection the other day) to keep his temper in line, so maybe this isn't as fair as it might have been 2 years ago.

Haven't seen a forecast, but seems dry now.

Good seats still available.

A few...;-)

Well, when you're right, you're right Jimmy! It's a great 1-2 punch... speed, contact, OBP, pop.

Well, i'll still take the 9-pitch AB... gets Santana's pitch count up to 53 after 2.
