You really think there's a shot Chicago fires Tom Thibodeau? He still had that team playing good defense and it's not his fault they built the franchise around a guy with glass knees. I think he's a good coach, but I could see the others going down that way although I think OKC's problems have more to do with Westbrook.

No, but I think there's a chance he might want to leave.

Lakers plan on courting Ollie and Calipari..
Forgot about Ollie, that would be an interesting hire. Since he played with just about every team in the league, he probably would be coaching some ex teammates.
Durant credits Ollie for helping the Thunder "become a real team" when he played for them.

Ollie seems like a good target. Not as high on Calipari.
Yea, I would assume Ollie would excite most Lakers fans...
Calipari might be the bigger "splash' per se, but I'd go hard after Ollie if I were them.

Isn't LBJ high on him as well?

Ollie could leave college on top too.

I'm not sure, but everyone seems to love being around the guy...
Just like me! I wish.

Either would create quite a ripple in the college coaching landscape.

Agreed, I think Kentucky would create more of a domino effect though.

Hard to see Cal walk away from the team he has next year.

If Ollie would help the Lakers sign LeBron and/or Durant by even a hair, I'd take him!
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Ollie to OKC.
Lakers should pull out all the stops and get Thibs.
No idea why the Knicks are obsessed with Kerr.

CBS Sports: Report: Lakers interested in Roy Williams for coach
Seth might have a thought or two here.

Wow, I haven't heard that.. The Kupchak connection is interesting of course...
I don't see it happening, but a fun speculation.

Seth already noted this in the Golden State thread about him joining the Warriors. Looks like the Knicks will have to look elsewhere. Also, Stan Van Gundy is now the head coach of the Pistons as well in charge of basketball operations with the Pistons.
