@RavensInsider: No guaranteed money included in Darrelle Revis' six-year, $96 million contract. So minimal risk involved for Buccaneers

How can there be no guarantees? I'm not sure I've ever seen a big deal like that with no guarantees. That's crazy talk.
This may in fact be a good deal for the Jets. Clears up a ton of cap room, and they get a 1st and a 4th or 3rd next year? It's not like they're ready to contend, not until they get a franchise QB, so to me, this is a smart deal.
What say you?

Maybe, but despite his attitude problems and crappy play this year he's still the most talented QB on that roster.
Sucks for the Bucs, they went 10-6 in 2010 and missed the playoffs and it's been all downhill since. Even with the Muscle Hamster.
And it'll only be a little while longer until Revis becomes a diva.

I wonder what would have happened had the defense been able to stop NYJ and NO on their final drives. They could have been 2-0 but a late hit penalty in Week 1 and a long catch by Colston in Week 2 put them in an 0-2 hole. If they started out 2-0 maybe this whole Schiano vs Freeman thing doesn't ever become as big as it did.

ESPN: Bucs to name Jason Licht as GM
http://espn.go.com/n...general-manager
In Tampa Bay, Licht will not have final say over the 53-man roster. Smith had a final-say clause written into his contract. But Smith has said he looks forward to working closely with the new general manager.

Jackson on one side, Evans on the other. McCown or Glennon are just going to be throwing jump balls down the sidelines..

Former Tampa Bay Bucs Cheerleader Sues Team For Wage Theft
Fifth team to see a cheerleader sue them.
She is claiming that, with all of the various unpaid activities she was required to participate in, she earned less than $2 an hour. Also, Florida law says she cannot waive her right to fair labor practices by willingly participating.
It will be interesting to see where all of these suits go. And it's always very interesting to see exactly the kinds of places major-league teams making millions of dollars a year decide to scrimp.
