Will be interesting to see how they use McLouth the next two days against two tough LHP.
I probably give him one of the nights off and get Dickerson or Pearce some AB against one. Reimold in LF.
So go back to the OD lineup for me.
Markakis
Machado
Jones
Wieters
Davis
Hardy*
Reimold*
Pearce
Casilla
*Interchangeable for me
Pearce has not been good...but he's the option they have, unless you just put McLouth in against these Lefties. But hey...that might be the best option.
With McLouth, I think you can bat him 9th against LHP. Or just go back to him with Leadoff at all times.

#Orioles lineup: Markakis 9, Machado 5, Jones 8, Wieters 2, Davis 3, Hardy 6, McLouth 7, Reimold DH, Casilla 4, Tillman SP
McLouth stays in, put batting 7th.

It could be to get Wieters a bit more protection. As we know, he's been struggling, despite his homer last night. Wiet is also the better offensive player vs. lefties than Davis is. (Though Davis certainly isn't incapable of hitting lefties by any stretch).

Ugh at keeping McClouth in vs lefties, especially a good one.

I don't think there's much difference right now between McLouth vs a lefty and Pearce vs a lefty. Pearce is really struggling. Although of course on the other hand, if you aren't going to give him the start against a lefty, why still have him on the team?

I think our biggest opportunity tonight vs. Moore is in pitch selection. He's struggled a bit with pitch counts, and that's a good thing for us. He's averaged 4.68 pitches per plate appearance so far on the young season. The MLB average right now is 3.82. TB's BP is quite good, so that negates that a bit, but it's still a good thing to make him work and hopefully have a fatigued Moore leave some hittable balls that our mashers can knock out of the park.

For Moore's career... LH batting .238, RH .229.
Obviously many more RH hitters.
1 out as Jennings flies out.

Wieters with a nice piece of hitting. Goes to right, Markakis to 3rd. Runners on corners with 2 out.

I'm sure they won't give Davis anything to hit.

Davis doesn't quite square.. gives it a 400 foot ride... just a long out.
To the 2nd, 1-0 Tampa Bay.
