I'm arguing with a guy that thinks Harold Reynolds is insightful. Lol

What you need to do is stop putting words in my mouth which you do a lot. I gave a perspective on how Reynolds is viewed by the generl public. I also said he can be entertaining. I also said part of the entertainment is some of the stupid things he says.

But be a snarky douchebag. Your arguing with a guy who  has more experience and a better fell  for the game of baseball than you. No LOL at all, just fact.

yea sure you do. As you clearly are acting like a moron in this thread, showing your vast knowledge. And the lol is at you and how much of a joke you are acting like.

I realize you probably had your first beer tonight but you are coming off as an ass and someone no one will respect.

Look in the mirror.

It's clear I'm venting to a point with some of the game over overreaction stuff but at the core i stand by most of what I said in the thread.

A. I think Buck messed up this game

B. I'm not a fan of a number of the arms in the pen.

What I like about both of you guys is that you have strong opinions and the majority of the time you back up those opinions with substance.

Let's call it a night, and remember this is supposed to be fun. We don't have to always agree, but let's respect each other.

I think everyone has said they expect some drop off from the pen, especially in high leverage situations..that's not really a revelation.

And I don't see how Buck cost us the game. I agree that BMat should have pitched to Joyce but using Ayala wasn't a bad move and going to Strop wasn't poor.

A game thread should be about heat of the moment reactions and frustrations. I understand people don;t want to see the same stuff everyday and that won't be me everyday. Tonight was one of those nights that touched my nerve pretty badly. So you got some  moments from me. I can promise you and everyone else it won;t be the last time I do it.

I also didn't like Manny in the 2 hole. Said that pregame. The shifts are what they are so I'm not going to complain too much there. I do think the pen was mismanaged. I thought the 7th inning should have been BMat's and then again to start the bottom of the 9th against Joyce and Johnson.

Again, I'm a Buck fan in general but I think a lot of this L was on him.

well, I will say that any lineup where Nick isn't batting first or second isn't one I am going to be a fan of.

I actually like the idea of Manny batting second...but I like it a lot better batting in between Nick and Jones vs McLouth and Nick.

I didn't complain about your heat of the moment reactions.

This next line is not directed at you. I'm speaking in-general. The game threads here last year were excellent because they avoided the crying and absurdity found elsewhere. When things go wrong (and things will go wrong), I expect people to post rationally.

Additional thoughts found here (http://www.baltimore...8-game-threads/).

You are an intelligent guy, with good opinions on a number of sports. You care about the teams. You are exactly the type of person I am attempting to reach with this site.

My previous post was not about you being worked up during the game. All of us don't have to always agree on things. We all have strong opinions. My post was about wanting you and Rob to treat each other with respect.

This should always be fun.

Off my soap-box.... heading to bed. Long day, excited about our announcements in the morning.

Yeah, I was sort of responding to what you were saying about being respectful of one another even though it looks like I wasn't.  All I was saying was sometimes I'm going to vent and be a bit irrational. Obviously, saying stuff like "bad loss" in the 7th inning and saying we have no shot at getting to Rodney is overreaction but again it's heat of the moment stuff. A lot fo the posters sort of called me out but in a respectful or joking way. Thats fine. I realize I'm ranting.

Rob, unsurprisingly, starting making personal attacks and misrepresenting me. The personal stuff doesn't even bother me that much.  I mean I take it as Rob being Rob and I can't say that I haven't had a couple of moments were I attacked someone personally as well. However,  I hate being misrespresented(ie the comment about Reynolds).

But yeah, on to tommorow. The great thing about baseball is you always have tommorow. A lot less time to dwell on those bad losses.

The only person feeling like that was a gut punch is you, or other fans who are putting way too much stock in the 2nd out of 162. There is nothing to suggest that the O's feel like this is a gut punch, or that it will effect them tomorrow. Unless that characteristic is different than last year, it won't effect them.

It's a bad loss. Good job by the O's to battle back a few times in the game but still ends up being a gut punch of a loss.

These are body blow shots lossing the way we loss yesterday. They can build up and mess with your psychy. Thats the analogy of the body blow shots. They don't show the immediate damage that a shot to the face shows but the add up and can loosen you up even though you don;t neccessarily show the effects on the outside. Likewise, it can seem like you bounce back(ie today's win) but they can still linger and effect you down the road.

But anyway, good job to bounce back today. Looking forward to tomorrow.
