The Tar Heels have looked good since going to their smaller lineup (aside from the beating vs. Duke in the regular season final).
UNC enters today:
14th in ppg
13th rebounds
2nd assists
111th fg%
225th scoring defense
27th turnover margin
Could be a team that is overlooked, and capable of doing some damage in the Tournament.

Really freaky, nasty injury if anyone saw it.

Never happy about seeing a player injured, but just from a pragmatic standpoint that should obviously help MD.
The bad news is that MD hasn't been all that competitive against UNC in either contest this year, but the good news is that I didn't feel like they played particularly well in either game.
A lot will depend on Dez. If he can stay hot MD has a good chance. A win would sure make Sunday interesting, in many ways.

Saw Hairston go out last night but didn't realize he'd be out tonight.

Yea, the reports say "questionable" on PJ, but given Roy's history, I'm betting he won't play. It took 8 stitches to close that wound...No need to risk him being out next week

Ugly game on the Terps part so far. They've struggled against the UNC defense all year.

Only 6 MD turnovers in the first 20 minutes. MD had 11 shots from the foul line, and limited UNC to just 4.
Mitchell had 6 boards off the bench.
Faust was 3 of 9 from the floor, but his three made shots were all 3's.
Wells was quiet most of the 1st half, got going a little bit late.
UNC shooting 43% from the floor.

Hopefully Strickland will cool down to his normal shooting level.

Nice run by MD here, but a bad call on that Wells charge.
