I doubt he'll be able to just "get out of his contract." He might seek other opportunties and maybe Maryland will reduce the buyout but I don't see them just willingly letting him go. Coaches usually have this stuff in the contract with conditions they can leave (new Prez and/or AD, facilities upgrades, etc), I doubt leaving a conference especially when Maryland did would be one of those conditions.
