Just the inane calls into talk radio stations saying that Joe owes it to the Ravens to take less money.Flaccos agent can't be too happy about that one. Doubt it changes much, though.

Even so, these guys have huge egos and want to be able to be called the highest paid. His woman is worth a billion! I'd play for a ham sandwich.
For him to not care is a trait I think we all wish many of our top paid athletes had.

Agreed. It's also hard to do given the pressure from the MLBPA (aka your frat brothers).Even so, these guys have huge egos and want to be able to be called the highest paid.
For me to not care is a trait I think we all wish many of our top paid athletes had.

Yep...Sounds like the extension Brady signed fully guarantees every single $$ so while he's helping them with cap hits for this and next year, it's not like he's doing it out of the goodness of his heart.

He doesn't owe anyone anything. Now if he wants people to pass to that's a different issue. His strategy could've backfired and I thought after the FIRST Denver game, it was going to. He proved me wrong.Just the inane calls into talk radio stations saying that Joe owes it to the Ravens to take less money.

Saying that is has no effect on him is the exact same as saying that it doesn't help him. It has no impact whatsover on Falcco's negotiations, so you're right, it doesn't help him. It also doesn't hurt him. It's irrelevant.I've seen many think that has no effect on Flacco since they are at different stages of their careers. That's a fair point. Bottomline, this doesn't help him, no matter how you want to paint it. The more $$$ the better players get, the more $$$ for comparative/lesser players.

I disagree with that characterization. If Tom Brady would've gotten top dollar, it would've been good for him and all other top QBs, and other players in general. The more $$$ he gets, ups the ante for everyone.Saying that is has no effect on him is the exact same as saying that it doesn't help him. It has no impact whatsover on Falcco's negotiations, so you're right, it doesn't help him. It also doesn't hurt him. It's irrelevant.
