It depends what they have to give up to get him.
I think they would have to move something from their core to get him and if that's the case, it probably doesn't help them all that much.
But the East is relatively weak, so they can certainly make a run until they play the Heat.
They want to trade Kris Humprhies, MarShon Brooks and a first round pick but I think Atlanta wants a little more.

Right...that has been the rumor but I don't buy that Atlanta would take it.They want to trade Kris Humprhies, MarShon Brooks and a first round pick but I think Atlanta wants a little more.
So then, you have to deep into your better talent...Is he worth it?
If the nets do trade for him, I really think its based around the idea that they can work a sign and trade with LA to get Howard, if he does want to leave.(Howard and Smith are close friends)

If they can throw Lopez, Smith, Williams, Wallace and Johnson as a starting 5 I'd take them over any team in the East, including Miami.
Thats what the Bleacher Report said, assuming that he works well with the team chemistry wise. I don't know about them being able to beat the Heat but I think they could at least beat the Pacers, Bulls, and Knicks and make a more interesting series against the Heat.
Also my opinions could be inflated because as of late they've been playing really well with some great wins so I'm more optimistic

Yea...no way. They may take Miami to 6 games, that's about it.If they can throw Lopez, Smith, Williams, Wallace and Johnson as a starting 5 I'd take them over any team in the East, including Miami.

Redick has made himself into a very solid NBA player.
