I definitely think Jerry fights this, but if he doesn't, it's extremely conceivable. It's just not going to work out for them in California. That much is clear. I think ultimately, when the LA thing failed again most recently, any and all hope of them remaining in California ceased. The Bay area isn't happening, unless they humble themselves and pay rent to the 49ers. But again, I just don't see it happening.

Jerry will definitely fight it. But he'll lose. The owners will vote for it unanimously.
And SA is closer to Houston than Dallas. I don't see how he can take a stand that makes much sense.
Dallas won't be impacted by this, or if they are, it'll be very small. The TV deals don't exist like they do in baseball. Fighting it means you're fighting to keep the bodies from SA who have season tickets and/or attend Cowboys games. That's the only way Dallas would get immediately impacted.
They're still the #1 bandwagon team in football. A team 4 hrs and 15 minutes away won't impact that.

Yeah, it'd be stupid and short sighted, IMO, but Jerry has a lot of clout.
SA is such a huge city though, which I didn't realize. And Austin isn't very far from it. They will definitely be able to support an NFL team.

Yup, and that's more important than pleasing Jerry, IMO. Texas is the heart of football in America. They deserve 3 teams.

I can't imagine Dallas could win a battle over San Antonio. It's approximately the same distance from San Antonio to Dallas as it is from Baltimore to Buffalo.

Would you like a $2,005 dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse? A corner room at the Grand Hyatt? Do you want someone else to pay for all this? Of course! All you need is to own an NFL team. Any team will do, even the Raiders.

Raiders going to go with Derek Carr at QB over Matt Schaub. Thought it would happen at some point, didn't think it would happen Week 1.
