Episode 5 of The Redbox Report! We review End of Watch and go over our top 5 Jake Gyllenhaal movies. We also debut our film club segment with Looper. Some news and what else we watched as well. Enjoy.

I watched this last night. Been trying to catch up on movies while doing work at night. It was pretty good. I wouldn't watch it over and over, but it wasn't bad. Gritty, did remind me of Training Day in tone a little. I actually liked the way the ending played out, even though I can bet a lot of people hated it and see it as a cop-out. (No pun intended)

Watched Skyfall...absolutely fantastic. Won't be the last time I watch that one. Really good plot for a Bond movie.

Watched Alex Cross...hated the casting choice. Tyler Perry? Really? I kept expecting to see him in a dress at some point. He did a decent job I guess, but I got no emotional impact from a scene that should have been packed with it. Matthew Fox was pretty terrific as the bad guy though I thought.

I didn't hate the ending but I could understand if people did. Like I said on the podcast I would've loved to see this as a series on HBO or Showtime.

We'll be reviewing Skyfall for sure when it comes out on Redbox. Can't wait for that one.

Heard nothing but awful things about Alex Cross, no interest there.

Tomorrows episode should be good. Reviewing The Master. Top 5 Phillip Seymour Hoffman movies. Film club review is Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

Always a favorite. Try and watch around every Thanksgiving. Looks quite dated though at this point.

Enjoyed The Master quite a bit, per usual with PTA. Top PSH movies are interchangeable with top PTA movies, lol. He's easily in my top 5 actors BTW.

It was the first time I'd ever seen it. I think it holds up visually as an 80's film. I don't want to give too much away but needless to say I liked it.

"Watching" Argo right now (I watch a lot of movies while I'm working from home, the good ones I have to go back and watch when I'm not working to get everything), and my favorite line already is "I was expecting more of a G-Man look" - "I think you are thinking of the FBI, sir " Oh the CIA in it's infancy.

The latest podcast is recorded, just waiting for some technical difficulties with podbean to be resolved. Hopefully I can get everything working normal in the morning.

If I don't have the chance to listen today, I will on Tuesday (I'm off Monday thanks to being a banker). But this movie is phenomenal. I absolutely loved it.

Just heard something that made me appreciate Perks of Being A Wallflower more. Did you get the thing with the aunt? Because I didn't completely until just now.

Episode 14 - The Impossible, Summer Box Office Draft http://theredboxrepo...x-office-draft/ My wife was a guest in this episode. Unfortunately our mic basically died so the audio quality sucks in spots but we figured its better to release something than to half heartedly rerecord or delete it. The box office draft was a lot of fun.
