Pretty sure he was. Keep in mind that a good chunk of these reports you see out of the meetings are false. Not the reporters fault, especially in this day of having to get it out fast, but they are fed not entirely true info all the time, and sometimes teams will flat out lie about stuff they do get right, so it's almost impossible to know.

I do know that nothing had happened sooner because they scheduled a meeting together for yesterday a while ago and said they'd get to it here. It took a day once they met, so I'm pretty sure they didn't really look anywhere else, they've just been busy with this whole MOO bat thing and handled this as it came.

Nothing really, because I'm sure they didn't FIRST exchange numbers today when it was accepted. I'm sure offers were made yesterday, so either way that would be before Shierholtz's supposed offer this morning.
