Daniel's projection for Chen:
IP HR BB K "FIP"
172.1 23 50 118 4.42
I agreed with Daniel's projection for Wada, and pretty much agree with his expectations here for Chen.

Does this seem accurate to you?

No idea if it's accurate or not, but I'd take it.Does this seem accurate to you?
I honestly have no idea of what to expect from both Chen and Wada, but I'll be optimistic and say that both can be decent 5-6 inning starters. If either of them can be a decent mid-rotation guy, then that'll be a really nice boost to the rotation. But really, these guys are just here to try and maintain some level of respectability on the pitching staff if the young starters continue to be injured and/or ineffective.

Nothing but pure gut feeling but it tells me Chen will be a pretty good signing for us while Wada will not.

When I gave projections of his speeds, it was not based off what he had in his pocket in the NPB.
It was likely on a five day throwing program of upper 80's to low 90's. Left handed and the ability to throw 91-92 could still be an effective starter. He has the work ethic and lower half strength to push through the lineup more than once...

I'll take those projections. The home run total seems a little high though.
