Buffalos defense is nothing to write home about. Have long sustained drives. Run the ball. Keep Allen off the field and he can’t beat you.

I've been saying the same thing for a few weeks. They've allowed a lot of points to some teams, and not even good ones.

Completely paranoid here... but I'm half expecting Henry to break off a big clutch run that includes one of his stiff arms to break away from someone, and a flag for illegal use of hands will come flying in. Even though a stiff arm to the face never gets called.

It doesn't get called because it's not a penalty.

You can't punch and you can't grab the facemask, but a stiff arm to the face by a ball-carrier is specifically allowed.

I like that the Ravens finally get to cash in that extra day of rest capital they've been hoarding for quite a while now. Every little bit helps in a matchup like this.

I was talking to my cousin last night and I told him that the Ravens running attack is like having Gale Sayers and Jim Brown in the same backfield.  Both were before my time but I've seen enough footage to see the similarities.  And I don't think that's any hyperbole.  We're truly witnessing a once in a lifetime combination.  I know most people would love an air show more than a punishing ground attack but man, when that machine is humming along, it's a beautiful thing to see.  Nothing would make me happier than to give the Bills the same type of beating the Steelers had to endure.

We're sure as hell going to try to give them that beating. And Buffalo was unwilling to stop it earlier this season.

I'm curious to see how this games plays out in the wake of how effectively we ran the football on Saturday night. Do the Bills load up the box with 9 defenders and dare us to throw? Do we stick to the ground and pound attack, alternating between Lamar and King Henry? Do the Bills take the aggressive approach like the Steelers and try to crash the running back? Do they hang back and play contain, along with maintaining lane integrity? The Ravens offense vs the Bills defense is going to be a fascinating chess match.

With all of that said, I still maintain that, much like last year, the only team that can beat the Ravens is the Ravens. Provided we don't throw up all over ourselves, this team is unstoppable.

I don't see any way they slow this offense down. Their only chance is to beat the Ravens in a shoot out. They aren't built up front like the Steelers or the Browns to slow down the run and look at what we just did to those teams. The last time they played the Ravens had 4 targets to the wr's and te's and still scored 35 pts. The Ravens aren't overlooking anybody but this is a bad matchup for the Bills defense.

This is actually a good (dare I say great) comparison.  I saw Sayers in the last year or two that he played, but he was a shell of himself by then.  Watch replays of Sayers and you can see some similarities.

The first time I saw Lamar in the open field, Sayers was the first player I thought of. It was a damn shame how he tore his knee up, which they show on "Brian's Song." He was never the same after that, despite playing a few more years. But man, when he was healthy, there wasn't a more devastating, open field runner in football. The Kansas Comet was truly an original.

Just saw a post that Cheffers crew has our game this week. Greaaaaaaaaaaat......

From RavensWire...

According to Pro Football Reference, Cheffers is a stickler for penalty calls. Over his 25-year career, he’s averaged 10+ penalties per game.

Cheffers has thrown 164 total flags this season, 73 of which were on the home team and 91 on the away team. The home team won nearly 73% of the games he reffed this season.

That’s an average of roughly 10 total flags per game for a total of 1284 yards.

Baltimore is one of the most penalized teams in the NFL. During their matchup against the Chargers earlier this season, Cheffers called 12 penalties on the Ravens.

Seems intentional. But maybe that's just me being a Ravens fan.

Feels like the NFL wants Bills/Chiefs more than Ravens/Chiefs.

I think the NFL will be happy with either team vs the Chiefs in the big picture, but Allen vs Mahomes definitely seems to be the broadcast day crews suggested lead...

For whatever reason CBS has a hard on for Allen right now, but come on guys, the Ravens were in prime time or an only game slot 8 times this year, the league loves us now. Not as much as the Chiefs, but I can’t see a conspiracy with this.

I forget who mentioned the Bills field being allowed to freeze over and potentially leading to more injuries. Thats BS too

That would be me.

Arrowhead and Lambeau even installed field heaters. The cold still gives them a home field advantage.

They tuned Lambeau's field heaters to heat the field at the lowest possible temperature to keep the grass alive. The turf hardens the cold too so I think it's bs that they (and Metlife Stadium) are allowed to keep frozen turf in the winter.

If you lose because the field is too hard, you never deserved to win.
