Just stay away from any aging pitcher (Eovaldi) with perhaps an exception for Verlander. He'd be another pitching coach along with whatever he could still produce on the mound.

Much rather have Eovaldi than Verlander. Eovaldi still has above average advanced metrics, should continue to be good. Don't think you can expect much better than 5th starter level performance from Verlander.

Lot of interest in Eovaldi as the second best guy or equally good but with a young era guy. Very little interest in Verlander.

To be clear I don't have a lot of interest in Verlander other than I think he'd be really great for our young pitchers to has as a teammate. And I do think that has some decent value.
