Magic number to clinch home field in the 1st bracket is 2
Any combination of orioles wins and Tiger losses adding up to 2 gets us home field

Need to eliminate the Royals too to get top seed, so also need 1 O's win or Royals loss.Magic number to clinch home field in the 1st bracket is 2

Very narrow path for Royals to get top seed, but still technically exists.

You are correct but the same math applies. Two Orioles wins and it doesn't matter what either the Tigers or the Royals do.
