97% is awfully high, but we have a very good chance, just cause there's not a ton of competition as others have said.

If Burnes, Grayson, and Eflin are right then we have a good chance in a short series against anybody. The offense is capable of going on a tear. It's probably more likely we don't win a series and the bullpen will be the downfall, but maybe they catch lightning in a bottle.

I never mind being under the radar heading into the playoffs. Thats exactly where the Rangers were last year. I think the pressure of being a 1 seed can get to you sometimes. Still hope we win the division but wont bother me if we are overlooked either.

They could catch a second wind. The talent is still enough. And hopefully we get a few pieces back. Just get in. I said 90 wins preseason. I almost feel like I willed the bad luck into existence. I knew on paper we were better than last year but I also knew everything went right in the reg season last year and it would catch up with us this year.

I absolutely expect a 2nd wind.

Mouncastle has 2 HRs since June 7th.

O'Hearn with 1 since July 3rd.

Neither have homered in August.  Kinda crazy for 2 guys who hit the ball pretty hard.

Rutchsman obviously with just the 2 HRs since the break.  I'm pretty convinced he's hurt.

I think the playoff gap might get uncomfortably close in the next week, but I do think this team will have a 2nd wind in September.  That's a good description.

The old sports axiom is very true - You're never as good as you look when you win and you're never as bad as you look when you lose.

Deep down, I expect a 2nd wind still as well. I believe in these guys. They've earned it over a few hundred games at this point. They've shown us who they are. I'm not sure what's going on right now, but it's certainly gotten the best of me these past couple weeks. The prior 1.5 months of The Slump ™, I was hanging in tight and keeping it together, but I've finally cracked. I love winning baseball. It's been the absolute best, and it's been a rough couple months. Still, they've earned my faith and I do deep down expect they'll find it again. In the meantime, I have to remember to breathe.

Fangraphs, who at least half of this fanbase thinks writes its projections with a special "we hate the Orioles" code has them at 96.9% to make it as well

The broadcast showed a list earlier today which stated that all of the top 10 teams in MLB are struggling and McDonald made the point that nobody is running away with anything this year and that no team is on pace for 100 wins right now. So it isn’t just the O’s which is refreshing.

We're 7.5 games ahead of Boston with 31 games left. Definitely over 99% chance to atleast get in.

They'll make the playoffs. Westburg needs to be back in the lineup. Between Westy, Holliday and Urias they have a pretty good hold on 2B & 3B. Eflin needs to return to form. GRod needs to as well. I want to know what is going on in Burnes' head. His wife just had twins earlier this summer. Is he feeling emotional baggage? Feeling empty for being away? Who knows. He needs to get his head reset cuz he's the lynchpin to the team making a run through the postseason.

Webb and Coulombe are just as important as anyone to get back IMO. Maybe an exaggeration but a reliable RHP and LHP added to the bullpen and I feel much better taking a lead into late innings.

Fair argument but I actually think it's Westburg.

It's still Eflin and Rodriguez for me.

Saurez has been great of late, but we can't keep relying on Saurez, Povich, Irvin to keep starting games.

Hasnt even been a week since thread was made and this feels like its back up to the high 90s where all the projections have us. That isnt to say that Im all that confident in winning the divsion or even holding the top WC spot but we would have to have an epic collapse to not make it

They’ll get in. To not would be a historic collapse. Now you know me and I would not be surprised for Baltimore to add that to their fail belt but they’ll get in and once they get in anything can happen. Won’t be confident but I’ll be along for the ride none the less.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Schedule softens up significantly after LAD. They'll win 90+ games.

And it is pretty much 99.9. Its looking like 85 or 86 is all it will take to get the 3rd WC. We sit on 81 now.
