Good pitching and tight defense, a tough combination to beat.
Still have to wonder if something's wrong with Cowser's right arm or shoulder. Despite the lead-off homer, it appeared he was having trouble catching up to fastballs tonight.

Eflin isn't an ace but he's a very solid mid rotation guy. Great pick up. Glad we've got him for next year, too.

We can definitely win a series with Burnes, Rodriguez and Eflin. Believe it or not Grayson's injury might help him in the long run given that he was about 4 innings shy of a career high. If he can come back in early September this just might be the break he needs to make him stronger down the stretch. This is the ultimate silver lining but let's see how it plays out.

Might be so. Sure gave us a chance after Grayson went down. With Burnes, Grayson and Eflin you have to think that you can win a series with anybody.
