Martin Perez to the Padres.  So Rogers continues to move up from the very bottom of the traded SP list :)

Does have some RH power.

I was psyched to have him as a prospect on my fantasy squad way back in the day!  That's all the analysis that I can provide.

Stark:

Special two-team LVP honors — Oh, and one more thing. Is there a case for Eloy Jiménez being the LVP for two teams this season?

He spent four months with the White Sox. He was a negative-0.5-WAR player, according to Baseball Reference, while he was there. They were 27-82 when they traded him … in the midst of a 20-game losing streak. And in 249 plate appearances, he’d driven in exactly 11 of his teammates. So that feels like bona fide LVP material, right?

Then he headed for Baltimore. Where he’s had time to be worth minus-0.2 WAR and minus-0.5 Win Probability Added. He was 1-for-24 in September, and his team had lost the last six games he appeared in … when they sent him to the minor leagues this week. Which felt like it was telling the LVP Awards Committee something we needed to pay attention to.

The Orioles were leading the AL East when Eloy arrived. They were five games out when they handed him his plane ticket to Norfolk. Can we give this guy two LVP plaques? Why the heck not!

Jimenez murdered the ball at first, and he's had decent career numbers. He's tanked, but I see no reason to ridicule him. He, Rivera and Slater gave the team quite a boost in the season's latter stages during which time its top players went into a collective nosedive w/the bat.

I'd keep Slater and Rivera for the Playoffs. In fact, I'd use Slater in center instead of Mullins if they face Skubal in the opener. I wouldn't pick up Jimenez's option next yr, but I'd invite the other 2 to ST if they're available.

Eh, they took a flyer on Jimenez and it just didn't work out. The leg injuries have apparently sapped him of his power. Rivera gave them much more than Jimenez IMO. There's going to be some tough decisions in the final couple of guys on the playoffs roster. I agree that Rivera and Slater should both make it.
