I feel like Eflin will be on tonight. I'm sure he wants to make a good first impression and will be energized by the chance to compete.

Obviously interested to see what Eflin does.  Gotta help that he knows that Blue Jays well, this will be his 4th start against them this year and 2nd consecutive, but its a big change to his routine.  They've also hit him hard twice earlier this year, but he had a good start against them last Wednesday.

"Update: Manager Brandon Hyde said Rutschman will catch Game 2 and again Tuesday night.

Manager Brandon Hyde thought McCann might be a little more familiar with Eflin.

The Orioles are trying to give Rutschman the proper rest. He pinch-hit last night.

"We gave him the last day off in Miami, and then with this doubleheader today, was thinking about possibly DHing one of the games and decided not to just because going to catch tomorrow, also," Hyde said. "We're trying to keep him as fresh as we can. I communicate with him. We talk quite a bit. He usually doesn't come to me but I'll kind of tell him what I'm thinking and we have a little bit back and forth on the upcoming schedule a lot of times."

He tried, but Urias had to be scratched and as soon as he got better, Mateo's arm fell off.  I wonder if Westburg will play SS in game 2.
