I agree, but when you manage the roster like "everyone into the pool" then you leave inconsistent playing time..  Everyone wants to be out there every day.

 

Cowser and Mullins should get every day run now and Slater is happy to be on the ML roster.

 

I’m still ticked about Mullins’ running through Cowser’s vision on that fly to the gap tonight. Cowser had that. Mullins slid rather than peel off.

The replay showed Mullins running through Cowser’s vision. He slid something like 5-7 feet deeper than Cowser fielding the ball. Yeah, you want to be able to catch that, but the CF isn’t supposed to run through the LF’s vision. He’s supposed to support the play. It was too deep (and too late) for Mullins to be of use behind the play.

I think Cowser should have caught the ball, however, he was obviously distracted by Mullins. Things like this happen, I'm glad they didn't have a serious collision.
