Way more interesting than it should’ve been.

Nine walks.

Santander was great late.

0-5 and the Manfred Man on 2nd, he busted his behind to score on that bloop by Mullins. He's not fast at all, but that was pure heart & adrenaline.

Oh and then yeah, sweet catch in the 10th.

I hope he comes back on something like a 3/45 deal.

Good win.

The Yankees had Jahmai Jones watching the 3rd strike to end the game.

The Dodgers just got walked off by the Rox with Johan Ramirez on the mound.

I think we're going to be ok.

I need some to go ice their placenta and take a couple Midol.  We need everyone at shrill strength tomorrow.

Love that NY's decision to throw at Gunnar came back and bit em in the ass. I think we've earned enough karma points over the years that we can cash that one in tonight and still have a few left.

I was just thinking about that. The beat way to keep them from doing that again is to just make them pay for it when they do, and pay they did.

That's what happens when you choose retaliation over actually winning the game.

Fell asleep about the fourth inning, so I just finished watching the highlights. Couple of observations:

Nice gutsy effort from Povich. It wasn't pretty, but he got the job done.

Orioles really need some bullpen help. I would start giving Vespi some higher leverage looks in light of how much Perez has been struggling.

Damn, Stanton is strong.

Way to gift the Orioles a run by hitting Henderson.

Good job on exploiting Trevino. The dude's a carousel operator behind the plate.

Lastly, way to to gut out a tough win.

Win the series.

Really like the Manfred Man reference.

Is the opposing team" Blinded by the Light" If the Manfred Man scores to walk off a victory?

Yeah, the speed at which he read the ball both times made all the difference.  Top of the inning, it looked like he peeked and saw the body language of the fielders to read it was gonna drop and did so quick.  Any hesitation there and he probably doesn't score.  And he got a great jump on Rice's ball in the bottom to make the catch.  A good read can make more difference than all the foot speed in the world.  Not that I wouldn't want both.  :)

Tony also crushed one that would've blown the game wide open in the 9th if not for a great track and catch by Verdugo.

2 more hits for Mullins as well. Week and a half now of being back to an actual big-leaguer at the plate. Keep it going and then a lot of our offensive concerns die down.

Game ball to Ced.

It is why you keep playing the man.  He made two nice plays in CF.  Stole 2 bases not to mention caused enough havoc on the bases to score the winning run.  Plus he had 2 hits.  Getting Cedric going is very important to this team.  He can be a game breaker.

Congrats to the NY Yankees for being the biggest dick organization in professional sports.  The entitled bastards hurt themselves last night with their BS.

Good game thread.  I think you guys cut half the team last night.  :-P

What the F is it with this defense being unable to call of another player while making a catch. And Gunnar and Mateo looking at each other as a ball weakly squirted between them.

I get game threads being emotional. Im emotional and can be irrational in game threads. Be frustrated. Be mad. Be irrational. Dont give up. I hate seeing the posts where people are essentially rolling over and dying. We never trailed in the game.
