The Clippers and Jazz are doing a trade that will send Russell Westbrook, a 2nd Rd pick and cash to Utah in exchange for Kris Dunn. The Jazz are then expected to buy out Westbrook and he'll sign with the Denver.

Don't really like this for the Nuggets. They do have a need for a backup PG, but I would have made a 3-and-D SG to replace Caldwell-Pope a much higher priority.

Sports Media Watch: NBA announces rights deals with Disney, Comcast and Amazon

The 2025-26 season will likely see the end of Inside the NBA, but will also see the return of Roundball Rock. (John Tesh said NBC had him re-record the song recently). Also, NBC announced Mike Tirico will return to NBA play-by-play, which is....

GM of hoops at his alma mater, St. Bona.

TBH, I didn't know college hoops programs had GMs.  I thought the athletic director just sorta ran everything.

I know college football has had GM-type rolls for a while, and they've become much more common in the portal/NIL era. Though in college the chain of command is opposite of what you see in the pros....in college the GM usually reports to the head coach.

First Woj, now ESPN fires Zach Lowe (no relation). ESPN is pretty much reducing their NBA coverage to people screaming hot takes at a camera.

Come to think of it, ESPN is pretty much reducing themselves to that in every sport they cover.

Outside of the live sports there is zero reason to watch that network, College Game Day obviously being the exception.

Even GameDay was starting to get unwatchable with McAfee taking up so much of the oxygen. Surprised I'm saying this, but the addition of Saban has been a big plus for that show.

Major trade going down. The Knicks are getting KAT from the Wolves in exchange for Julius Randle, Dante DiVincenzo and a 1st Rd pick originally belonging to Detroit (Top13 protected). Wonder if breaking up the ‘Nova Knicks is gonna be bad karma?

Somehow Charlotte is in on this too. Due the the Wolves being over the second luxury tax apron they needed some kind of financial help from the Hornets to make it work. I already miss Woj, since he would have been able to make sense of it.

Kind of liked what NY was doing prior to this trade.

With Mitchell Robinson out to start the season and oft-injured as it is, they really needed a center. Towns’ shooting makes their offense pretty scary. Conversely, his rim protection (or lack there of) will be a bit of a liability for the Knicks defense. But obviously Thibodeau knows what he’s getting in KAT and no doubt signed off on this.

For Minnesota I’ll be curious to see how Randle and Edwards are able to mesh offensively. Adding DD really improves what was a good, but thin bench.

Brunson Hart OG bridges and KAT is a pretty damn good lineup.
