The 2012-16 teams won a lot of games overall, but didn't put up 2 back-to-back great years in that stretch.

The '96 and '97 teams went to the ALCS in back-to-back years, but the '96 team had a pretty uneven season.

'82-'83 teams certainly qualify. '82 losing to the Brewers on the last day of that season, '83 of course winning the WS.

'79-'80 both won over 100 games, with the '79 team losing the WS.

'77-'78, both teams won over 90 games.

'73,'74,'75 teams each won over 90 games, with the '73 and '74 teams losing the ALCS.

'69,'70,'71 teams each of course went to the WS, with the '70 team winning it all. '69 lauded by most as the best of the bunch.  109 wins in '69, 108 wins in '70, obviously has that as the best two year stretch for the organization.

101 wins last year.
On pace for 109 wins this year.
If the '24 team wins the WS, the helps off-set being swept out of the ALDS last year when giving a total evaluation for two year stretches.

I think "help offset" is a bit tame of a description of what winning a championship would do :)

109 and 108 wins in '69 and '70 with WS appearances both seasons would be hard to top. But maybe '24 and '25 can do it!

That 69-71 streak was the Major League 3-year win record till Yankees broke it in the 1990's.
