One of those games where 2 runs will probably win it.  Anemic hitting once again.

Well, almost got out of the inning unscathed.

Well, that should do it.  3 runs will probably be too much to overcome.

Yeah 3 is probably enough for Chicago today. Win tomorrow because a split against this terrible Chicago team would be disappointing.

I was thinking Akin would get out of it given Sheets' awful numbers against lefties. Well not so much.

Akin’s first few weeks were cute, but he’s back to who he really is. Bullpen is in a bad way.

Akin is just a garbage reliever.

Bullpen is shaky at best. Offense is streaky and too many inconsistent performers with terrible approaches. Starting pitching is hanging by a thread.

The list of mid-season acquisitions they need to make keeps growing.

2 starters down and Means getting a second opinion is bad. The bullpen needs 2 arms. The offense needs at least 1 impact bat. That's a lot.

It doesn't all need to come from outside the organization, but it needs to get here one way or another.

I’m not worried about the rotation. Bullpen needs significant help. They’re not going to make dumb, short sighted decisions though, at least not overly so. And I wouldn’t want them to. They’ll add. They won’t empty the coffers.

I'm hopeful some of the starters in the minors might transition into a relief role st the MLB level this year before being looked at to start in 2025, especially since they will likely hit their innings limits before the postseason. Povich for example might be a good candidate.

The offense is incapable of stringing anything together. Even if they get a runner or two you can expect some terrible ABs and poor results.

Two on, one out. Hopefully they prove me wrong again.

I trust Stowers more than any bat on the bench. You bringing in Hays or Mullins? Pass.
