Stupid Apple TV
Again with that foolishness?
It really irritates me. I pay to watch 162 games a season.
Good news! I saw a dog today.

I just looked at the Chicago radar and there's a line of storms west of the city heading due east. The rest of the activity has already moved by to the southeast. If they can get through that one line, there's not much else out there. I think the game is playable.

McCann had one solid year for the White Sox 5 years ago but other than that, he sucks as a hitter. He's especially been bad with the Orioles. If the guy could just hit a little, I wouldn't have a problem with him starting as much as he has. But to barely hit .200 in the process, not much good is going to come from it.

650 is the best you can expect from a backup C. He was at that level last season. 600 is fine for a backup. He's well below that so far this season.
I don't think we need a replacement backup C, that's not a pressing need, but I hope McCann can get the bat going. Last year he was equally awful (564 thru July) and then finished strong (763 after). Would happily take that pattern repeating.

The problem isn't just his performance it's that he plays too dang often.

I like getting Rutschman plenty of games off his knees and at DH. I thought the usage last year was perfect. Pace this year is a little heavier on the DH games but I think (well, hope) that will taper off. I don't think Adley should be catching 130 games.

Try to take advantage when you theoretically won't or shouldn't need a ton of offense.

Westburg's shot to dead CF was 106.4 mph off the bat. It went 401 feet cuz of the 20-30 mph winds blowing in from RF, otherwise that ball was gone.

In-game interviews - I don't care about the sport - are nothing but a distraction.
