Have to be patient against Gil. He's tough to hit, but will walk you. Maybe not a great match up for our aggressive lineup.

No patience in this line-up.  They'll be hacking away as usual.

Burnes is a perfect tool for putting one right in Soto's ear. Preferrably around the 6th and with a nice lead.

Well, that's an idiotic plan (except for having a nice lead in the 6th).

Nah. Wait til later in September when NYY is clinging to the final WC spot and the O's are a half dozen games up in the division. Then drill Soto in his first AB of the first game, right between the numbers on the back of his jersey so that he'll have to wear it the remainder of his ABs in the series.

Any examples of the O's throwing at somebody in recent years? I imagine it's happened a time or two but I can't remember it any. Doubt it happens tonight.

Wouldn't mind seeing a sequel of Armando Benitez drilling Tino Martinez in the back.  That was a good one.

I really can't recall any time in the past few years where there has even been a reasonable suspicion that an Orioles pitcher was throwing at someone. IMO, the main reason not to throw at Soto (or anyone else) is the suspension that will inevitably follow the act. Why play with a short roster because some guy acts like an ass wipe?

I was really hoping for a blowout win tonight with Burnes on the mound.  I guess that was a pipe dream.

It’s obnoxiously annoying that their pitching is this good this year. It’s seemingly come out of nowhere. Granted, it’s still pretty early.
