Grayson gonna turn out this year.

Don't agree trying to get 100 pitches out of him in his second start.

They made their runs count and Grayson looked solid again but this offense as a whole is making it way too easy on pitchers.  They're not working counts, swinging at everything and left several runs on the field today.  Even Hyde said they were not being selective enough.

Something I thought was very encouraging today was that Grayson didn't attack the Pirates the same way he attacked the Angels.

Against LA, he seemed to go back to his changeup again and again to put hitters away, but today he relied much more on the fastball, particularly up in the zone.

I don't know if the change up wasn't working today (or maybe was harder to throw due to the weather) but really excellent pitchers can adjust their gameplay by the game (or even the inning) to match what they feel is working for for them. Seeing him do that with success is the mark of a guy with Ace potential.
