Maryland comes in at #14 in the NCAA’s latest NET Rankings, up 9 spots from last week.
Maryland had climbed to #11 in the NET Rankings after their win over Ohio State, but fell two spots to #13 after yesterday's loss to Purdue.

Maryland received 39 votes in this week’s AP Poll, effectively ranking them #37.
College basketball is super deep if there are 36 teams better than the Terps.

ESPN's BPI has them at #20, for what that's worth. Just my opinion, but because their OOC schedule was so weak I don't think we really know enough about them yet to rank them appropriately.

Maryland should be ranked. Their two losses came against #6 Marquette and #11 Purdue (on the road). Both were close results. Both were games in which the Terps led for somewhat substantial portions of the contests.
Maryland is #19 in KenPom.
Top 25 ranked teams that aren't in the top 25 in KenPom:
#13 Oklahoma (40th in KenPom)
#19 Ole Miss (27th in KenPom)
#20 Wisconsin (37th in KenPom)
#23 SDSU (36th in KenPom)
#25 Miss St (26h in KenPom)
Not a huge deal, we all know rankings don't define a team - but it's pretty annoying how subjective it is.

They pass the eye test to me. Both losses have been high-level NCAA games. If anything the defense let them down a bit in both, but in both cases they ran into star players having great nights (Jones for Marquette, Braden Smith for Purdue). Perimeter defense might be a bit of an issue.

Ohio State just beat #4 Kentucky by 20 so that's a nice little trickle down for Maryland's resume
