If Jorge really put in work at 2b and CF in the offseason and can play both well enough thats big. Really secures his spot on the team. Im assuming he can play 3b in a pinch as well. Really need to see if we can find an Urias trade that makes sense.

And McKennna while we're at it, if Mateo can truly backup CF. Replace him with a clodding bopper.

Why I wouldve loved to have Hicks back at minimum. But yeah go sign JD Martinez. Give him the DH spot most days while platooning OHearn and Mountcastle. One more really good bat makes me feel so much better about the offense.

Regression: O'Hearn, Cano

Bounceback: Mullins.

I think Henderson goes nuclear this year and everyone else will largely remain within their career norms.

Cano is definitely another one I could see regressing but his advanced analytics were pretty stellar. Nothing in there that suggests last year was a fluke other than the fact that he, like Coulombe, plays a position with extremely high volatility.

I can see Mullins as a bounceback candidate but his 2023 campaign wasn't as bad as the other guys so I don't know that there's that much to "bounce back" from. Despite missing almost 50 games he still managed a 2.8 WAR season according to Baseball Reference. Extend that over 162 and it's pretty much identical to his 2022 season. For him it's just about staying healthy more than anything else.

Yes to the above.

And as you mentioned trade Urias, for a solid bull pen arm.

I think Urias is here as the bridge to Holliday, perhaps as a backup plan, if he doesn't make it out of ST.  Had we kept Ortiz, then we wouldn't need him even in that scenario, but I'm not comfortable giving Mateo or Norby everyday at bats even for two months, so I like keeping Urias around for a little while and then looking to deal him mid-year when Holliday is promoted (or keeping him as the utility guy if Mateo's bat is as bad as it can be and the CF glove doesn't work out).

I'd have no issues at all with flipping him for a reliever or even prospects, it makes sense, but I also think there is value he provides to the current roster if Holliday isn't coming North.
