What am I missing here? After missing 2 days of practice I would think Lamar is in jeopardy of missing this week's game especially with a quick turnaround against a division opponent. I guess we'll see.

Zero jeopardy of missing the game. Lol, what odds you want for pints vs pitchers at the next BSL happy hour? I'll buy two pitchers to one pint that says Lamar starts on Sunday.

The 3 players from the 2008 NFL draft who are currently on a roster are all former or current Ravens. Name them.

One is easy. Solid guess at a second, definitely active and old former Raven but guessing as to the draft year. No idea as to the third. Will think and try not to cheat.

No bet. I'm only at 50/50 right now but even still I didn't know Lamar got that banged up last week. When your starting qb misses 2 days of practice it's not a good thing. That's not normal rest. I'm sure Lamar will crawl onto the field this week but this is still something to keep an eye on especially because of the Thursday night game coming up.

Was Josh Johnson drafted or was he an UDFA?

I had the two QBs, only because I heard someone say it either on radio or TV in one of Johnson's starts.  The third escapes me.

Without the "current" tag I would have NEVER guessed the third. But thanks to that I got all three! That's reason to tap out of work early today... little treat culture...

Also gotta say I really do respect the hell out of that guy. 12 teams, never a star, but loves the game, accepts his role, and keeps working. Plus the paychecks are still probably better than most anything else he would do if he stopped. :)

Think old and tall. And still playing a lot and shows up in highlight reels on occasion.

I had to look it up. I thought the other one was more like 2010-11. Insane longevity.

No injury designation for Lamar.  Full practice.

Keaton Mitchell practiced in full all 3 days but is listed as questionable.

Mitchell and Diante could make an already potent offense even better. Big play threats all over the field. And Diante eats up single man coverage. Guess EDC figures F it, if we score a TD every possession, defense only needs to get lucky once.

Mitchell back this soon is absolutely wild to me. Super curious to see how he looks.

I honestly thought no shot this week.

But now I'm wondering. He's like more than a month early at this point.

Guess we'll see how much speed and explosion he has in the tank out the gate. Took Dobbins a while even once he returned to get it back.

If so, that's a hail mary pass in itself.  How many times has a team been able to outscore a team with a good defense when it counts?  San Diego with AIr Coryell in the 80's couldn't do it.  Jim Kelly's K-gun got stuffed in 4 superbowls.  Although they did also have a good defense.  The greatest show on turf got collared by New England.  When it comes playoff time usually those teams that score on every possession don't fare well.  The Ravens in 2019 might be a good example as well.

If the defense isn't fixed by January, it's unlikely the offense will be able to overcome that weakness.

It's always unlikely that any team wins with a really bad unit. Think everyone agrees that the defense can't be playing like a bottom 5 defense in the postseason.

As awful as last Sunday was, I remain optimistic that the defense will be solid eventually. I think it was trending up, and while I don't think the injuries can excuse what happened, missing two corners going into the game and two interior lineman going down in the first quarter is a big loss. I'm worried that eventually will be longer than I want it to take, but I still think there is too much talent on the roster to not be at least decent eventually.
