Kudos to Willard all things considered. While I’ve obviously been very vocal about how disappointing this season has been, 3-3 in conference and this win are commendable. Here’s hoping this is a pivotal moment for this group. Great win. Didn’t see it coming.

This is what we were hoping to see this season with Young and Reese leading the way. Perhaps they've leaned into the fact that they just can't shoot from the outside so take it to the rim and pound it inside. They continue to defend very well and outhustled the Illini most of the game.
