After picking up a big road victory against UCLA last week, Maryland returns home for their final non-conference game of the season against Coppin State on Thursday night. The Eagles are off to a dreadful 1-12 (0-0) start to the year, with their lone win coming over UMBC. They're currently ranked as the second-worst team in all of Division-I basketball by KenPom. After firing Juan Dixon after last season, former NBA forward Larry Stewart is in his first year as their head coach. This is his first head coaching position at any level.

I would hope to see at least 15 minutes for Lamothe now.

This was a big opportunity missed for him tonight. Got some decent run, but made absolutely no impact. Can’t see him cracking the rotation this year, barring an injury or foul trouble.

Where do we find these guys who can’t even contribute against the likes of Coppin? I just don’t get it. Is basketball scouting really this hard?
