Not only that, but they may not win another game this year. Home games against Michigan and Penn State, and road games against Nebraska and Rutgers left on the schedule.

They began the year talking about competing for a Big Ten championship, they may finish the year without even making a bowl game.

Well Lox you've got some work to do to get me back on-board as a supporter.

One thing for MD to not yet be ready to beat Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State....   but you can't get upset by Illinois at home, have a bye, and then lose this game at NW. 

 

That's just brutal, and really does damage to the incremental improvements MD has been making as a program since McNair's death. 

 

To be clear, Lox isn't going anywhere anytime soon (deal through '27). And he has stabilized the program and done some good things overall. But these two losses really have damaged any positive program vibes which existed.

That’s pretty much where I’m at, Chris. I guess one positive is that, if they do end up having to move on from Locksley, the program is in much better shape to attract a head coach than when he took the job in 2019.
