To me the whole defined role in the bullpen has never made sense. Sure you want a lock down guy as your closer but every game should be handled but the situation. Score, whose at bat, runners on base, inning, lefty/righty data, etc. All those things should dictate who you bring in from the pen at any given moment.
Unlike one certain manager who wasted the best reliever ever by keeping him for a save situation.
