He said he was off today last night and would be back on Sunday.

Well it took the two most reliable guys we've had recently to get through the 7th. Webb likely starts the 8th at least.

I'm fine with the strategy. Big inning there and decent chance the O's score more to reduce the leverage in 8th or 9th.

I'd have been fine in leaving Bradish in even though he gave up the leadoff hit. If you're going to give him such a quick hook, then bring the reliever in to start the seventh with a clean inning.

A lot will depend on what Wells can give in short relief. Also we will see what happens with Means. Does a current SP got to the pen. Wells is the big one to track once he is up here though. Of course he isnt gonna be as dominant as Felix but can he settle in as a reliable late inning arm

You see it all the times when guys pushed into new roles. You assume it will be seemless. They were really good in the 8th or 7th. Why not an inning later. Just doesnt work out that way a lot of times. Look at Munoz in Seattle.
