Other than Wells, Bradish is the guy Id like to see out there.

Cherry picking a bit, 2.92 ERA over 52.1 inn in his past 9 starts. 0.99 WHIP and .596 OPS against in that span.

 

Wells over a similar span (10 starts, 57.2 inn): 3.12 ERA, .656 OPS, 0.95 WHIP.

 

Definitely the two that give the most confidence, both have stepped up.

 

11-8 in those 19 starts though. Feels like it should be better. 10-6 in Grayson/Irvin starts, both with 7+ ERA, baseball is funny.

Bradish will step up and be the stopper. He'll be our best SP by seasons end if not already.

Westburg at 3b, Henderson at SS, Frazier at 2b. Seems this may be the most likely lineup vs RHP. Mateo hasnt started any of the last 3 against RHP since Westburg was recalled.

I dont doubt this is the best offensive positioning we can do but I dont think losing Mateo at SS and moving Gunnar to SS is best defensively. Especially since Frazier's bat isnt that much beter than Mateo and Frazier is quite bad defensively. I feel like with Gunnar at 3b, Mateo at SS, and Westburg at 2b you have above avg to solid defense around the infield. With Gunnar at SS and Frazier at 2b Im positive the up the middle defense is quite a bit below avg

It all snowballs. More pitches by Bradish. Makes the following pitches more high lev because runners are on base. Puts pressure on the Catcher. People will never understand what consistently good defense does for you
