Bautista/Cano haven't pitched since Friday. Seems like you would want them to get some work today, but this is clearly no longer a high leverage situation, so it feels like a waste.

Idiot manager just gonna not throw them until we have a small lead.

Have said that all along. The BP is pretty bad outside of Cano and Bautista. And Cano regression is imminent

This is a game that gets away because Hyde doesnt go to Cano here. Maybe we still lose but after 5 days off the 8th shoulda been his and Felix the 9th.

Ideally Cano takes a step back to being a 7th inning guy. Slightly lower leverage. So yeah they need 1 more legit high lev arm. If the 2nd arm is just a decent guy thats probably good enough

Lester is why you keep Mateo in the lineup. Losing Mateos D is not worth Lester's bat.

Lester shouldn't be here. I can argue that everyone else on the roster at least provides something of quality.

Schneider scrambling to have Mayza up and ultimately in shows how bad he is as a manager. Gunnar was always gonna be his responsibility if two or more reached so how is he scrambling so late. Shoulda been stretching and at least throwing to start the inning and ramped up once someone reached base

More acceptable if Cano wasnt working on 5 days rest. At some point you have to get these guys game work. Tomorrow we will prob hear him say pregame something like Im gonna try to get Cano and Felix some work today no matter the situation. If tomorrow is a get some work no matter what then how is tonight in a 1 run game not an ideal spot. Hes a complete donkey

Coloumbe on 7 days rest. Cano on 5. Bautista on 5. Can't really argue either one. Oh well.

Get a lead and use everyone tomorrow.
