Once the score reached 5-1, I headed for the showers and then went out to get some coffee. By then it was 9-5 Orioles.
Guess I know what I need to do the next time they're down by four runs.

Love that Wells is missing way more bats. Disappointed that so many of the balls he's actually getting hit are leaving the park. I still think he's one of our best starters.

I hit a 5 leg parlay last night but only 1 leg hit prior to the 7th inning, Wells 4+ Ks. I also had the O's +1.5, over 6.5 total runs, a Hays base hit and a Santander base hit. Crazy how it all came together in the 7th inning.

Givens tried so hard to give that all back last night. Just a weird choice to go backto him last night this soon off the IL. I wont be surprised if he is released before the year is out. The fastball is 89-92. Hes never had great command or control. We will see how things play out but hes not gonna be a high lev guy. Thats pretty obvious already

He was very good the night before.
I would think his fb gets back close to his 2022 level, vs a several mph drop. He might not be ready to go back-to-back nights.
Now if you are saying more of 6th or 7th inning guy vs 8th; I agree...but plenty of important high leverage innings in those situations too.

Aren't there any arms at AAA that are better than Givens? Better than Tate? I get that they are trying to develop these guys down on the farm but at some point, bring them up and see what they can do at the highest level.
