They never learn, do they? There's been tons of them over the years that should have quit when they were losing their skills. I once read that Willie Mays actually fell over at home plate swinging at a pitch. Landed right on his face. I think he was 42 in his last year.

Any confidence booster Rodriguez can get is a good thing at this stage of his development but wow, this Tiger offense is beyond pitiful. They just swing at EVERYTHING.

Not all Akins fault. Mateo botched an easy DP ball, but in a 6-0 game you'd like to steal an inning or two of Akin without imploding.
