Yeah I just thought Grandal’s result was more about him executing than Gillaspie serving it up. He pretty much put it where he had to. Between that (and his 2 other hits on the day) and his throw out of Mateo from his knees, quite a day for Grandal.

Grandal's approach was perfect. They had Hays slotted towards CF, and he took an inside half of the plate pitch and kept the barrel behind his hands to plop it where nobody was. It wasn't a late swing or just popped it up. He took advantage of Hyde's defensive alignment.
(and what the hell was Hays doing there? I thought he legit had range. He displayed none of it on that play)
Hays has no range now if he ever did. At the bottom of the OOA leaderboard for outfielders.

Os defense really bad. I missed todays game. Apparently more leaks today. 3 errors and apparently more things that dont show up on a standard stat sheet. Mateo is the only one above avg right now by metrics and Im not sure that isnt a full season thing. Maybe Mullins still has the great range and is a plus defender but none of the others give me much hope.
