Yeah unless Santander has some good history against Kopech I'd probably sit him. But perhaps with Kopech already giving up so many homers maybe this is a game for Santander to bust out of his slump?

In the grand scheme, 48 AB’s is nothing. AS has a (recent) track record at this point. I’m fine with giving him continued run. Not that a day off is a bad idea.

I hope Hyde doesn't reduce Henderson's playing time because he's slumping.  He needs to get at bats and that isn't going to happen sitting on the bench.

He’s young enough. Defense has been subpar too. He has some things to work on. I doubt they’ll “bench” him. But the occasional mental breather for the kid isn’t going to upset me.

Honestly, wouldn’t surprise me if it takes a minute for him. But he had adjustment periods at every level, so I’m not worried. You see young stud prospects take a minute all over the league. Guys like Kelenic or Witt Jr. come to mind. Also, not every uber prospect is destined for Canton.

That was a terrible AB by Santander there. He’s definitely lost right now. Needs to make the adjustment.

Perhaps the reason that baseball games are so much faster this year has nothing to do with the new rules but more the insane strike zone of these so called professional umpires?

I don't see any reason to keep Santander in the lineup. He's not even having competitive ABs.

Could’ve been worse. Could’ve been nothing. Not a routine play for Mountcastle there, but one he is capable of making.
