Bummer. Get tomorrow and it's still a good series.

Don't want to give away games to bad teams. There isn't a single player on the As team I would swap with an Oriole. That doesn't say as much about the Orioles because i think most teams feel that way about the As..

I'd take Jackson in our bullpen.

I wish there were easily visible context with a lot of the “advanced” metrics out there today which attempt to measure pitch quality beyond just velo. You can get the numbers, I’m just never quite sure how to digest it without the league averages and reference points.
But if I knew more what I was reading, I’d def be curious as to how Kremer’s stuff grades out.
According to Stuff+ (not sure if tonight’s start is included or not):
4 seam fastball - 109
Sinker - 88
Cutter - 96
Slider - 109
Curve - 89
Changeup - 103
Overall - 102
Location+ - 97
Pitching+ - 96

We have pitching issues. Like, massive pitching issues.

Yeah its like wRC+ and OPS+ in that regard. Wider gaps in numbers expected in the stuff+ numbers while every number counts more for location and pitching plus.

Was going to make this comment earlier, but I'll leverage off this.
For me, with Kremer it's about competitive pitches. Swing decisions are big now-a-days but Kremer throws way too many pitches that are easy to make a decision on. You aren't forcing the hitter into a difficult decision on every pitch. So you can have quality stuff (Stuff+, whatever) but you aren't grinding out the hitter in every at-bat.
Also, I'll continue to point out that things like Stuff+, when they look at "location" doesn't look at "intent". They're evaluating where the ball winds up, not where it was supposed to wind up which is a severe limitation of analysis (what happened) and projection (what it could mean next).

I agree tho that Kremer hasn’t been competitive enough on a pitch by pitch basis.

I am still baffled by the mental errors being made. This isn't the doldrums of a long summer. They should be much sharper than this out of the gate.
