He touched 99.5 mph with his fastball, averaging 97.2, but its getting hit hard. Maybe Elias was right, he might just need to sharpen things up a bit before making his debut in a few weeks.

Not worried yet alone panicked about Grayson yet, but even top tier pitching prospects sometimes flame out. Lot more frequent than position players. A big part of the reason I wanted two front end SP in the off-season instead of just two backend guys.

I’m not all that worried about him, but he seems to be having issues with the strike zone, so I’m still not all that worried about him being in AAA to figure that out. I.e. he doesn’t NEED to be in Baltimore right now.

I should wait awhile to ask this but are you sure you like Cowser's offensive profile more than Kjerstad. I mean I get with D and baserunning included you might take Cowser over Kjerstad overall but Im not so sure the offensive profile is better anymore.

I think they are totally different players.  I am looking forward to seeing both, maybe by years end, Cowser likely sooner.
