Can't ever trust a lawyer.
Or someone who tried and failed to be a lawyer.

Just saw Phelan link something on twitter about Johns latest reply on 105.7 about opening up the books. Freaking weasel.
He needs to never speak publicly. And sell the team ASAP.

He wants to own the team indefinitely and be the public face of it. He wants to make Baseball decisions and get credit for what works with no accountability when things don't..

Well that makes me appreciate him a little bit more knowing grew up to be a failure in his father's eyes.

At least there's someone John will give a multi-year deal.

Yeah, that's a reeeeeeeeeealy bad look. Especially to double down on it for no reason.
I've never been that concerned about the team moving, and I still don't think they will. But I'll say that his comments about the team staying, while they meant very little before, mean absolutely nothing now. He's just another on a very long list of talentless kids who get to play the role of rich person due to their parents' success.

Since I have zero doubts that the Angelos family will never spend the money to field a competitive team, I'd celebrate if the O's left Baltimore. I'd prefer no Orioles, to this imitation version they peddle.
Good news! I saw a dog today.

Well one thing he can share is that the Orioles were profitable last year. In the top 5 of MLB.

Yikes, without a caveat that we'll get a team back eventually, this goes too far.

I think we would, and I don't think it would take a generation to happen. But whenever I post that, I get pushback from those who would rather have a perennial cellar dweller embarrassment, than no team at all.

Yeah, I have no faith MLB would come back on their own any time soon, how long have the A’s supposedly been moving? They’d probably tell us to turn Camden Yards into a museum. But if we had like a Browns guarantee it’d probably be worth it to rid us of that family. What did they miss, 3 years? Hate it, but I’m foreseeing ~29th in payroll being the norm.

What's stopping you from having no team at all right now? You have free will

Yeah, I'll sign up for a few years off if its the only way to get an ownership change. But not the unknown.
