Washington leading Atlanta 24-16... Atlanta goes for 2, with 12:38 and doesn't get it.
I don't get the point of going for 2 there. You kick the xp, and if you score again.... you aren't in position where you have to have the 2 point conversion. Now you are.
Now you can argue that if you got the points there... that you wouldn't need a TD to tie... you could get 2 FG's... but I think this was a mistake.

I know that being in separate conferences they don't play often, and the Jets have a mostly miserable history, but for as long as the two franchises have existed it seems crazy today was the first time the Jets have ever beaten the Eagles.
And that sound you hear is what's left of the '72 Dolphins popping the champagne corks.

Yeah, the Jets have stunk for well, mostly ever since Namath, other than the odd 1-2 year run here & there. The Eagles have been consistently very good since Vermeil in the late 70's, so can see it happening, but yes, that did initially catch me off-guard with "really!?"
